These workshops took place between January 10th and February 1st, 2025, covering the specialties of Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Practice (GP), and Radiology.
The workshops employed a one-on-one mock interview format, providing participants with a realistic interview experience and direct, personalised feedback to enhance their performance.
Sixty trainees participated in these workshops, facilitated by 20 volunteer Sudanese and Irish Consultants who generously contributed their time and expertise to ensure their success.
The workshops received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both participants and consultants. Participants highly valued the individualised feedback and precise guidance received, which significantly boosted their confidence and preparedness for upcoming BST interviews. The consultants also expressed their admiration for the participants’ level and enthusiasm.
The Union extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the Consultants who dedicated their time and expertise to the success of these workshops. Their invaluable contributions have supported the professional development of their colleagues at the beginning of their training and specialisation journeys.
The Sudanese Doctors Union of Ireland reaffirms its commitment to continuously provide professional development opportunities for its members and all colleagues in Ireland. We wish all applicants to the matching programmes success in their upcoming interviews.
