In order to become a member of the union, the applicant shall complete a membership form, as a declaration of awareness with the objectives of the union and commitment to the bylaws and resolutions of the union.
In order to become a member of the Union, the applicant shall maintain payments of the monthly subscription fees, which are determined by the General Assembly.
The applicant for a full membership shall not be a full member in another Sudanese doctors union .
The Executive Committee examines membership requests within one month from the date of their application.
If the Executive Committee decides to reject any membership application, it shall notify the applicant with its decision and the reasons for rejection, within a maximum period of 21 days.
The individuals whose membership applications were rejected, have the right to appeal during the next General Assembly meeting.
Eligibility Criteria for Full Membership
The full Membership of the union is granted to those Sudanese doctors who are registered with the Sudan Medical Council or with the Irish Medical Council, provided that they have been residing in the Republic of Ireland for a period not less than 6 months, at the time of their application for membership.
Full membership of the union is granted to those Sudanese doctors who are registered with the Sudan Medical Council or the Irish Medical Council who are serving on locum jobs between ROI and the UK, provided that they have been residing in the ROI for a period of time not less than 6 months, at the time of their application for membership.
