In recognition of the critical need for a dedicated paediatric intensive care unit at Al-Buluk Specialized Children’s Hospital, a key facility serving a significant number of children in Omdurman that previously lacked this vital capability—particularly amidst increasing population pressure due to displacement—the Union, in collaboration with the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA), initiated the establishment and equipping of a 4-bed paediatric intensive care unit. This crucial project, with a budget of USD 75,188, was allocated to procure essential equipment, including mechanical ventilators, vital signs monitors, specialized intensive care beds, intravenous infusion pumps, fully equipped emergency trolleys, and other necessary supplies, to ensure the provision of high-quality care for critically ill children.
